I’m a baby person. I admit this fully, upfront, without shame. When a newborn hoves into view, I am immediately drawn to it and I surrender to the need to coo and cuddle. Sometimes, I have been able to smell a baby on the premises at twenty paces (I’m not kidding about this). People often remark on how I look when I encounter a youngling, and usually this is followed by “You know, you should really have some of your own,” or “So… when might we expect a little mini-Zura?”
I know this look. There is a certain light that enters my eyes when kids are near and I can feel it physically straining against my laughlines, washing my entire visage in an Eau de Motherhood. Interesting, that.
I have a friend who also has that. I should introduce him to you, so you can make babies together.
Feh. Who needs kids when you can have dogs?
I don’t mean “have” dogs in that sense. That would be impossible.
But you know what I mean.
So, um, after June 22 (or thereabouts), are we to expect your presence at Casa P-T for both a newborn and a dog?
I would enjoy making my presence known to both dog and newborn at that time. :)
A Mini-Zura… Fun to imagine.
When I was without children, I was like you. I turned at every little laugh or cry; I wanted to hold every baby. I just couldn’t wait to be a father… then I had kids and you know what?
NOTHING’S CHANGED!
Hehe! I love being a daddy.
This morning my little one woke me up with a drawing…
“Wake up daddy! I have a surprise for YOUUUUU!”
It’s so great.
Dear, I thought you already were in “mini” format!
;)
P: nice on daddyhood, it seems to suit you to a T :)
S: Yes, but I am pretty sure I can make ‘em smaller. ;)
