This is en excerpt of a bank statement I received in the mail regarding a Christmas cheque my uncle in the States sent me:
When you completed your transaction, there was a discrepancy. We have debited $2.82 from your account for the following reason: Exchange for US cheque.
Heh.
I know a company that lost $10M last year because of the exchange rate alone – yikes!
